Goldsmith-Cardel opened in 1987. We felt strongly about becoming a Herend retailer, primarily because of the line’s incredibly wide array of both figurines and tableware. The tableware, in particular, seemed so unique compared to other companies’ place settings and accessories. With Herend, here was an opportunity to offer the public a remarkable range of sizes, shapes, and hand painted patterns. No matter how many people purchased Queen Victoria or perhaps Blue Garland, for example, they could truly feel that they owned a highly personal and distinctive dinner service. Providing our customers the unique beauty of Herend is what we set out to do. We traveled to the factory in Hungary, spoke repeatedly with the U.S. distributor in Virginia, and created a selection that is quite special. We have colors that are not readily available, patterns that one doesn’t often see, and sizes that are hard to come by. In our figurine assortment, we are diligent about offering the newest introductions and the timeless favorites.
