Herend Guild Celebrates Tenth Anniversary in 2008

STERLING, VA, January 8, 2008…On the big occasion of its tenth anniversary, the Herend Guild will roll out special opportunities, exclusive events and custom services throughout 2008, many of which will be announced at the Atlanta Gift & Home Furnishings Market, January 8-16. Information will be available in the Herend showroom in Suite 907 of the Atlanta Gift Mart.

“The Guild is changing in 2008 to best serve the interests of today’s consumers. We have created a number of extraordinary opportunities, custom services and memorable events to enrich a member’s experience. All of these enhancements are designed to bring the artistry and heritage of Herend to life through one-of-a-kind experiences, and will be in addition to the availability of exclusive porcelain treasures,” said Marti Badila, Herend Guild Director. “To celebrate the anniversary, we will present a special gift to our members who have been with us from the beginning, a Herend sign decorated in the multicolor Chinese Bouquet pattern and inscribed ‘Charter Member 1998-2008.’ ”

Among the memorable excursions planned for the year will be an elite behind-the-scenes tour of the Herend Manufactory and a visit to Hungary’s capital city, Budapest, and surrounding Hungarian attractions. The trip is currently planned for June 12-23.

For those members who plan to travel to Budapest on their own, the Herend Guild will compile personalized “insider tips” on Budapest and the surrounding area. Additionally, for those traveling to the Herend Manufactory on their own, a custom-made tour will be arranged.

The Guild will expand its personal services to include an opportunity to have any purchase from the Children’s Collection personalized with a short sentiment by a Herend artist, complimentary monogramming of Herend dinnerware purchases, written documentation of the replacement value of a member’s Herend collection, assistance in locating desired Herend pieces, and gift wrapping.

Other unique experiences will include invitations to Guild receptions at Herend’s premiere U.S. showrooms in Atlanta and New York which are closed to the public, and access to complimentary passes for two showhouses in the Atlanta area in 2008, sponsored by Southern Accents magazine.

These personal services are in addition to current ones which include the opportunity to own special Herend figurines and fancies created exclusively for Guild members; a complimentary members’ gift; early notification of new product introductions; and insider information through White Gold, the Guild’s newsletter produced four times annually; and the Herend Herald, the magazine published by the Herend Manufactory in Hungary twice a year.
